What's New

Tickets are now on sale for Trowbridge 2010 and we have kept our prices the same as last year, but hurry as our Early Bird Offer of £95 for a four day adult ticket (10-15 half price), including camping and car parking ends on 28th February 2010.

We’ve been listening to you about what you want and are planning a number of changes, some to bring back the nostalgia of Village Pump days gone by, some to introduce new improvements. Many of you would welcome a more open, relaxed feel with space to laze around, dance or picnic where you can listen to music and chat, without being inside a marquee all the time. So new for this year is the Amphitheatre – an outside stage set in a natural bowl so you can laze around, dance and picnic with lots of space. This is our big action stage for 2010 with light shows and lots more street entertainment.

The folkies want more folk – not just traditional (which Trowbridge has never been) but contemporary, quality folk/ acoustic music; so this year, you’ve got your own Folk/Acoustic venue for quieter daytime listening, and evening programmes of dance. The Horizon, or third stage, with its eclectic Indie/ Ska/ Reggae/ Klezmer acts mean you never know what might appear on this ‘alternative’ music stage – sometimes different, often local and always a party stage. The Family Island will host a programme inside and out of family shows, workshops and circus, and our very own PUMP talent competition. Last year’s introduction of a fringe programme was innovative and you liked the quirky and experimental feel of it, so we’re building on that idea with a cabaret programme this year. So more venues – 3 marqueed and 1 new open air stage - more choice and more of what you’ve been asking for.

We are working even harder this year with our bars and food traders to make sure there’s a great range of real ales, wines and food at realistic prices. But we know times are hard and you can still do Trowbridge ‘on the cheap’ by cooking for yourself and bringing a reasonable amount of booze on the campsite. But we don’t allow glass or cans inside the performance arenas for safety reasons and please read the camping advice about BBQs.
