The History
The TROWBRIDGE VILLAGE PUMP FESTIVAL was conceived over a few pints in the village pub and started life in the back garden of The Lamb Inn, grew for a few years at home, then matured, moved and settled at its present location.
Alan Briars and Dave Newman brought it to age when the founder committee folded through lack of funds. As the years went by the Pump grew and grew becoming a tradition fed by inspiration and determination to make it what it is today.
Sadly Dave passed away early in 2005 and Alan in December 2007. The festival continues though headed by Alan's wife Christine together with all of Alan's management team ensuring the continuity that has made 'The Pump' one of the most respected festivals in the country.
